One of our favourite activities to do on a school holiday is a trip to the cinema to see a family film and this half term will see The Snow Queen in selected cinemas from October 25th. It is also out on Blu-ray, DVD and digital release on November 3, 2014
The story is based on a Hans Christian Andersen magical fairy tale and follows the little orphan girl Gerda who must defeat the evil Snow Queen who has taken over the kingdom and kidnapped Gerda’s brother.
Gerda has a pet ferret, Luta and her friend Orm the troll who accompany her on this journey, they embark on a dangerous journey across the icy wonderland. They face pirates, treacherous trolls and challenges in a race against time to defeat the Snow Queen, save Kai and bring back warmth to the hearts of the people across the land.
We were sent a DVD to watch and review for you.
The Snow Queen review
Frozen fans are going to LOVE this film, lots of loveable characters, fantastic animation and a great story to follow which ends …. well I’ll let you find out for yourself.
The girls and I thoroughly enjoyed the film, it’s a good story line, the girls in fact recognised it from the book we read a year or two ago.
They have already watched it 3 times over the weekend which is always a good sign that they like the film
