One of the highlights of last winter was taking the girls to the O2 to see the Disney on Ice, they loved it and sat gripped through the entire show. I loved it too and was transported back to my childhood when I can clearly remember watching in awe the skaters tell a story out on the ice. It’s a special treat that I would like to do again this year and that’s why I was so happy to see that Disney on Ice is back, all over the country and what’s more celebrating 100 years of Magic! How fantastic.
There will be more than 60 Disney Characters celebrating in this very special show and a quick overview mentions that Mickey and his beloved Minnie will take us on a magical adventure with characters from Lion King, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and Toy Story.
All of this will be accompanied by a soundtrack of the classic Disney tunes including The circle of life, still a favourite of mine, and A whole new world.
The Disney on Ice tour kicks off in Glasgow on 26th September and will tour the country with a grand finale at the London O2 over Christmas.
Choreographed by an Emmy Award winner, who also choreographed the skating segments of the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics 2002 and a set designer from numerous Broadway productions the show is not something families want to miss out on. Take a look at some fun facts –
