Getting pregnant over 40: 19/10/06 (Babyworld diaries)

Day 3 of the Getting pregnant over 40 dairy.

Well, would you Adam and Eve it? My friend found me – and there was me thinking I was being all secretive, I was going to mention it to her at the weekend that I’ve joined Babyworld.

What encouraged me join Babyworld was the chance to write an online diary; it’s good for me mentally and fun. I’ve actually been on the Babycentre forum for quite some time and have met some lovely ladies there too, mainly because they had a specific board for ‘Over 35 and trying to conceive’ where us ‘older ladies’ can swap notes and have a laugh too. Anyway, I haven’t got my head round the forums on Babyworld just yet as they’re set out differently but I will try over the next few days, oh and I am at work by the way, Mon to Fri 9 – 5 so that doesn’t leave a lot of time for writing.
The most exciting news today is … I was in bed by 9.30 zonked out last night! Round of applause.

What’s so exciting about that, you may ask? Well, don’t you see??? It’s one of my foolproof signs of being pregnant – that and feeling sick if someone around me lights up a cigarette. God, it makes me want to throw up. So, although as you can see I’m trying my hardest not to get my hopes up (I bought a home pregnancy test yesterday from Boots and it’s safely tucked in my top drawer till the weekend) I am just focusing on one day to the next. Baby steps.

Other fabulous news is my Mum has just bought a holiday home in Sardegna – I love Sardegna! It has, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (no squabbling there then) plus it is only 5 mins by car from the beach. The views are breathtaking.

The image below was taken when we visited with the twins in 2011.
2 days till testing xx
PS Is there no way of editing a diary once clicked submit? I keep finding mistakes where I type so badly??
