It’s still been very cold this week , it even snowed in some parts of the UK but there’s a hint of spring in the air. Maybe it’s just the slightly longer days, arriving home from school and still having enough light to play in the garden for a while, or maybe the shoots of flowers I see pushing themselves through the earth or have I just had enough of winter? Probably, I have no idea how I used to last the months of cold in Folgaria.

Saturday was just the girls and me as daddy head off on his first stag do in Costa del Margate. We had a party to attend ourselves and the girls came home nice and exhausted making for an easy evening. Bessie polishes off all the milk from her cereal bowl and Alice shows off her new lip gloss found in her party bag.

Sunday we were up at the crack of dawn to get to London, Leicester Square to watch a screening of Sammy’s Great Escape the new Warner Bros film in 3D. I must admit to being totally blown away by the 3D effect, it does feel like you’re swimming underwater with the fish. An amazing experience. The girls had a great time with all of the activities put on for them.

Monday my cuff bracelet arrived from the Monsoon bridal collection (RRP £25). I tried it on and it’s quite tight but fits. I like the way it has a vintage feel to it. I had a go at playing with then light that bounced on the bed for my photos.

Tuesday was dedicated to #TeamHonk and their trip to Ghana. I am so proud of these girls and so happy to be able to say I know them. I’ve met all of them and can honestly say they are stars, each and every one of them. I spent the day tweeting and waiting for my digital postcard to arrive which it did – fashionably late as it would do in real life too. Do check out little Desmond with his gorgeous mum at the Vaccine clinic and please share it to raise even more awareness of the #goodwork Comic Relief has done in the past 25 years. I also cooked Tex Mex Grill steaks for dinner and they were delicious to eat and easy to make

Wednesday I had an appointment at the No 7 stall in Boots at Bluewater for a bridal makeover. I won’t be calling on a professional to do my make up that day. I’ve never been a full on make up girl and have always coped on my own but I was curious to see what she would do with me. Here is a shot and I shall write a post up next week of my experience which I thoroughly enjoyed and picked up a whole host of tips from her. What do you think? Too much? Just right?

Thursday a quick shot of the girls before they head off to school, I’m trying to encourage them to get themselves dressed of a morning and of an evening when they return from school. Alice is fine and being Little Miss Independant tries to do everything by herself but Bessie will just pout and moan and say she can’t do it. That’s our Bess on the left ;)

Friday I posted our Kentish ceremony choices off to the registrar eek! That means the wedding is getting even closer and I have a whole load of things that still need doing. JUGS people I need jugs for the flowers! Off to do another search online for them

Today over at Jenny Matlock’s Alphabe Thursday we’re having an Alphabet Soup day as we’ve just finished our run of the alphabet and our A isn’t to be scheduled until April 14th next week when I shall be focusing on Italy and bringing to the table one place to visit for each letter, so if you would like to join in this fun alphabet inspired posting then head over and check it out today. As it’s Alphabet soup and therefore anything goes it does allow me to tie up a few ends and write posts for the lovely awards I have received recently and have yet to pass on.

The Liebster Award above has been awarded to me by the lovely Tasha over at The Domestic Anarchist  (thank you!) and here are the rules to pass it on

  1. Post displaying the award, linking back to the person who awarded you.
  2. Choose your own blog picks (see below) and let them know they’re awarded.
  3. Hope everyone discovers some new favourites.
  4. Revel in some blog love.

So I pass this Liebster award on to my BMB comment group made up of Motivating Mum UK, Kitchen Kate, Scandinavian Sojourn, Frankie Parker, Babes About Town, Major Love of Film, and Edspire ladies I shall also tweet this award to you.

And another award I have recently received and I hold my head in shame as I didn’t jot down the name of the blog, I can’t find the incoming link and having searched and searched I can only get on with the award and come back when I discover who awarded me this! I have already received this delightful Kreative Blogger award last year and I’m struggling to come up with new ideas but here goes – some more things you didn’t know about me.

1. I adore my food and can’t think of one product I don’t like.

2. I’m a day dreamer. Sometimes my eyes glaze over and I am in Mari’s World, dreaming, thinking and wondering. It’s only someone calling me loudly that brings me back and I have no idea that I’m doing it or what the hell I was dreaming of whilst I was there! My mum’ll tell you I’ve been doing it forever :D

3. At a champagne reception a couple of weeks ago I stood up, shook Kate Thornton’s hand and introduced myself! I’d had about 3 glasses of champagne by then though.

4. I CANNOT drink more than three glasses of wine, one glass more and I’m gone. Please remember this if we’re ever out together as I will insist that I’m fine and there will be no problem but the next day I won’t remember a thing you said after the 3rd glass.

5. I have my grandmother coming here in about an hour and I still have to hang out the washing, wash up the lunch bits, tidy the toys and clean the car – well the car is going to have to wait again so I’d best get cracking

6. I have started up my own YouTube channel where I review and chat about all sorts. My latest vlog is of me practising my Oscar winning speech for the MAD awards coming up, if you haven’t voted anyone for the Most MAD Family Life blog yet, maybe you’d like to think of me :)

7. I’m fluent in Italian and can knock up a mean risotto although my overall favourite Italian dish would have to be Strangolapreti – recipe coming sometime soon…mmm.

I’m passing this award onto some lovely ladies I have met through Jenny’s Alphabe Thursday Jenny Matlock, Rocky Mountain Woman, Red Ted Art, JDaniel4’s Mom, Raw Thoughts and Feelings, Gattina, Dominique’s Desk, Granny Sue’s news, Rogue Artist

Here’s what to do if you don’t already know

1. Copy/pastethe Kreativ Blogger Award picture onto your blog
2. Thank the person who awarded it to you and post a link to her/his blog
3. Write 7 things about yourself we do not know
4. Choose 7 other bloggers to award
5. Link to them
6. Notifyyour 7 bloggers of their award

See you all next week for letter A, have a good time till then

PS. As I missed the A for the last round this Award post can stand for that round and have me a complete circle :)

8. I’ve always been a back to front person!
