Challenge Mari

Who remembers Challenge Anneka back in the 90′s? I loved this program and always wished I could do something similar as I loved the idea of being given a task and getting on with it to the best of my abilities. It is an area I would actively like to encourage and therefore I am setting up this brand new page ‘Challenge Mari’ with that in mind. I want tasks to get my teeth into, something to get the creative part of my brain whirring into gear and something for me to try and achieve to the best of my abilities. I want challenges that make me laugh, that push me to try new limits (no bungee jumping though please!)

P&G Proud sponsor of mumsMy very first challenge was thrown by P&G back in 2011 spring. Ha! They said. Could you spend 24 hours in the life of a housewife back in the 1930′s? Of course I can! Bring it on.’ was my reply.

They sent me a box of goodies including a washing board, some baking powder and a couple of recipes for good measure and I LOVED this challenge.

BoschBosch Garden Tools together with Coblands Online and Green Thumb Lawns challenged me to a Garden Makeover Competition up against 11 other mummy bloggers dotted around the UK. Now I’m no expert gardener but I gave it my best shot and you can see my progress on Storify

John Crane 100 sleeps logoWith John Crane Toys it was slightly different, I challenged them! Will you let me run a 100 sleeps to Christmas competition showcasing one of your beautiful toys every week on the run up to Christmas and asking a question that readers must search for in a Treasure Hunt. Readers collect their weekly answers and on the last Tuesday send an email to a given address. One lucky winner won £300 worth of John Crane toys. There were 46 entries
